Motorcycle Season 2025 Kicks Off in Odessa with Charity Ride

04 May 2025

The motorcycle season for 2025 has begun in Odessa with a charity ride. The route spans Kyiv to Odessa and back. Participants gathered at the Duke de Richelieu monument, as reported by a correspondent from Suspilne.

According to participant Volodymyr Musyak, the ride aims to support the veterans' movement and the Ukrainian Defense Forces. Approximately 60 motorcyclists are participating, with more joining along the way.

"Currently, there are 60 bikes, and others are joining on the route. So, we don't know the total number yet," Volodymyr explained.

Veteran Volodymyr Musyak, who has been serving since 2014, mentioned that the event has both social and charitable purposes. This is the first ride of its kind aimed at uniting Kyiv and Odessa.

"We are also collecting funds. Auctions and charity drives were held in Kyiv yesterday. We do this every year and have a charity fund to purchase necessary items for the Ukrainian Armed Forces," Volodymyr noted.

A unique aspect of the veterans' motorcycle club is that it includes members with disabilities due to combat.

"We have a brother in our club who has lost a leg. He has adapted his bike for himself. Many guys with similar issues ride as well," Volodymyr shared.

In Odessa, bikers will enjoy an official opening ceremony for the 2025 motorcycle season, meet with brother clubs, and participate in a musical program. After the Odessa portion of the event, participants will head back to Kyiv, completing the Kyiv-Odessa-Kyiv route.

The charity ride was organized by the "Bikers of Ukraine" community and the Veterans MC Ukraine motorcycle club, with informational support from the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine.
