Volunteer Blood Donation: Supporting Medical Institutions
As part of the «Donor Odessa» initiative, military personnel from the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine's Maritime Guard participated in a collective blood donation.
The joint efforts of the border guards and volunteers will save numerous lives, especially during wartime when the demand for donated blood remains exceptionally high.
«We recognize how crucial it is to maintain blood reserves. In conflict situations, this is a vital resource that can assist our comrades, injured civilians, and every Ukrainian in need of urgent medical care,» say the border guards who contributed to the replenishment of the city's blood bank.
This is not the first initiative involving maritime border guards; they believe assistance should be ongoing rather than a one-time effort.
Today, blood donation has become another line of defense for Ukraine.
The event was held under the city charitable project «Week of Good Deeds».
The photos were taken by Boris Bukhman, an honorary donor.

The «Donor Odessa» project has been actively engaging blood donors for medical facilities since the onset of full-scale war, as well as conducting educational and cultural events aimed at promoting blood donation. During this time, over 12,000 blood donations have been made, saving thousands of lives.
It is crucial for everyone who can donate blood to participate in this process.
