Odesa Region: Advancing Educational Spaces

The Odesa region is taking significant steps towards the development of new educational spaces as preparations for specialized schools continue.

The Deputy Head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, Anton Shalyhaylo, and the Director of the Department of Education and Science, Oleksandr Lonchak, participated in the presentation of new approaches to the creation of educational spaces, attended by representatives of government bodies, agencies, and educators in Kyiv.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine as part of the high school reform initiative, aimed at discussing further collaboration on the creation of educational spaces, laboratories, and workshops in general and vocational education institutions ahead of the new academic year, funded by state and local budgets.

The government allocated nearly 500 million UAH for the modernization of specialized high school classrooms. Currently, a call for project proposals has been announced for receiving grants in 2025 for the creation of modern educational spaces.

Well-equipped classrooms will create conditions for the successful implementation of high school reform, allowing students to choose their learning profiles and subjects according to their interests and future aspirations starting in 2027.
