Odessa Region: A Leader in Agriculture

The Odessa region holds the top position in Ukraine for grape cultivation, producing 58% of the country's total. Furthermore, despite the war, there is a notable growth in the agricultural sector.

Leading the way

In addition to grape production, Odessa also ranks high in the number of sheep and goats, with 28% of these animals residing in our region. We also lead in barley cultivation, accounting for 18% of the national total. Our wheat and rapeseed yields are also commendable at 11% each.

Growth amidst conflict

Despite the challenging economic conditions, Odessa has achieved a significant growth of +8.6% in crop cultivation and sheep farming over the three years of war. In contrast, some regions are experiencing decline; for instance, Mykolaiv shows -16.8%, Sumy -14.9%, and Chernihiv -6.7%. The highest growth was recorded in Kyiv region (+23.2%).
