Poacher Caught: 180 kg of Fish Resulting in Heavy Losses

Law enforcement officials have caught a poacher who illegally harvested 180 kg of fish, inflicting damages exceeding 600,000 hryvnias on the state. This was reported by the fisheries patrol.
During a raid at Lake Tudorove in the Yaskiv community, state inspectors from the Odesa fisheries patrol, in collaboration with border guards and police, discovered a man who used two nets from a boat to illegally catch 348 bream, 23 crucians, and one carp.
"A protocol has been drawn up against the offender for serious violations of fishing regulations, and materials are being prepared to open a criminal case. The illegal catch, fishing gear, boat, and engine have been confiscated," the report stated.
