Meeting of Agrarians in Odesa Led by Oleg Kiper

Yesterday, the head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, Oleg Kiper, held a meeting with the Minister of Agrarian Policy, Vitaliy Kovalev, and the head of the State Fisheries Agency, Vladislav Nevesely. The meeting included agrarians from Odesa, as reported by the ODA press service.

Key issues discussed included irrigation, which is crucial for our region, as well as livestock farming, agro-processing, and fisheries. Additional topics included breeding, the development of agricultural education, the construction of vegetable storage facilities, and the support of domestic winemaking. A new irrigation system was also launched in the Odesa district yesterday.

This irrigation system covers over 12.2 thousand hectares of agricultural land, with a total length of main canals reaching 120 km. The enterprise consists of 47 pumping stations that supply water to a closed irrigation system. Furthermore, the participants visited agro-industrial enterprises to familiarize themselves with their production capabilities and communicate with the company staff.
