Arrest of a Man in Izmail for Selling Dangerous Grenades
Law enforcement authorities have apprehended a 39-year-old man from Izmail who was trying to sell dangerous munitions. He was caught during an attempt to sell two F-1 grenades for 5,000 hryvnias. This was reported by the police.
Officers received information indicating that the man was looking for a buyer for the munitions. During the operation, police documented the transfer of grenades near the railway station. The suspect had explosives and fuses seized, which were sent for examination, along with the money obtained from the sale.
The detainee explained that he acquired the grenades after the death of a relative, and later decided to sell them. He was charged under Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal handling of explosive devices), which carries a penalty of up to seven years in prison. The court placed him in custody as a preventive measure.
