Preserving Public Property in Odessa
The Municipal Enterprise «City Roads» oversees 884 bus stops, including 605 with shelters and 279 without. During the maintenance of these stops, the enterprise's specialists carry out sanitary cleaning of the surrounding area, repair and restoration of bins, benches, and bus shelters, as well as their washing and painting.
Unfortunately, vandalism remains a pressing issue. Since the beginning of the year, there have been 9 recorded acts of vandalism.
Daily, unknown individuals leave graffiti, break benches, uproot bins along with concrete, and smash the glass walls of the bus stops. Additionally, public transport stops are sometimes damaged due to traffic accidents.
The Odessa City Council once again appeals to residents and visitors to treat communal property with care. Intentional damage to municipal property carries criminal responsibility.
