Metropolitan Epiphanius Visits Odesa
The head of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, His Beatitude Metropolitan Epiphanius, made a visit to Odesa to provide spiritual support.
In Odesa, together with Archbishop Athanasius, the Metropolitan visited wounded defenders who are currently undergoing treatment and rehabilitation.
During the visit, a meeting took place between the Metropolitan, local leaders, military officials, and benefactors.
Oleg Radkovsky, the first deputy head of the Odesa Regional Council, presented an award to the Metropolitan, expressing gratitude for the support of the Ukrainian people.
«Your presence is a significant sign of faith for the residents of Odesa during these challenging times. The Church and prayer serve as vital support for our warriors defending Ukraine. Thanks to your commitment, the Orthodox Church of Ukraine becomes a spiritual shield for our nation», – remarked Oleg Radkovsky.
During the ceremonial meeting, the Metropolitan awarded church honors and accolades to government representatives and military personnel for their contributions to the spiritual revival of Ukraine.
In his speech, the Metropolitan emphasized the importance of Ukraine's spiritual security, discussed the social situation in the region, and the role of the Church in society.
Awards were also given to Oleg Radkovsky and council member Andriy Babenko by the Metropolitan.
