Preserving Bus Stops: A Call for Responsibility

18 October 2024

The Municipal Enterprise «City Roads» actively monitors the condition of public transport stops. Unfortunately, every day we encounter acts of vandalism where unknown individuals deface stops with graffiti, damage benches and trash bins, and break glass structures.

Since the beginning of 2024, vandals have shattered glass on 33 bus stops, destroyed 33 benches, and damaged 85 trash bins. The staff of the enterprise is constantly engaged in cleaning the walls of the stops from graffiti and posters.

In total, the City Roads enterprise oversees 1012 public transport stops.

Specialists from the enterprise regularly perform cleaning of adjacent areas, repair and maintenance of bins, benches, and pavilions, as well as their washing and painting.

The Odessa City Council once again appeals to residents and visitors to take care of community property. Intentional damage to municipal property can lead to criminal liability.
