Ensuring Online Safety for Children: A New Guide
The Internet — a vast world filled with opportunities for learning and entertainment. However, it is not without its dangers. What can be done to combat the actions of malicious individuals who may exploit the web for criminal purposes?
Developed by the Office of the Attorney General in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Transformation and the Diia.Education platform, the guide «Preventing Sexual Violence Online: A Guide for Parents» aims to assist caregivers in protecting their children while providing teens with practical tips to navigate the online world safely.
Here’s what you will learn from the guide:
- examples to identify different forms of sexual violence online;
- advice on setting privacy and securing devices used by children, as well as instructions if your child becomes a victim of violence;
- recommendations for engaging with law enforcement.
Your attention to critical details and active involvement in your child's life can significantly enhance their safety.
This guide was created as part of the initiative by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and the «Community Prosecutor» project for the Diia.Education platform.
