Revival of Tram Route in Odessa

In Odessa, efforts are underway to restore tram route No. 18, which connects Kulikovo Field to the Memorial of the 411th Battery. 

The mayor of Odessa, Gennady Trukhanov, met with the leadership of the housing construction cooperative «Morsky-1». Prior to the full-scale war, the cooperative had committed to modernizing the tram turnaround at the 16th station of the Great Fountain, located near the new residential complex. However, due to the war, the cooperative is currently unable to fulfill its obligations in full. 

«An agreement has been reached with the cooperative's leadership regarding joint participation in the work to arrange a temporary tram exit. The cooperative will procure the materials, while the municipal enterprise «Odesmiskelectrotrans» will carry out all the necessary work,» stated Mayor Gennady Trukhanov. 

According to experts, it will take about two months for the full launch of route No. 18. Currently, the clearing of the tracks from the 12th station of the Great Fountain to the Memorial of the 411th Battery from debris, branches, and weeds has already begun.
