Current Status of Odessa's Drinking Fountains
The municipal enterprise «Water Supply Center» manages 16 drinking fountains located throughout the city of Odessa. The depth of the wells ranges from 111 to 149 meters.
On average, each fountain supplies 8 to 12 cubic meters of water per working shift (from 08:00 to 20:00). The purified water from the wells is available to everyone.
Water from the fountains is tested monthly to ensure compliance with sanitary standards.
On November 17, 2024, due to a massive attack on the country's energy sector, water and energy supply in Odessa had to be halted. This led to a significant increase in demand at the fountains. On November 17 and 18, approximately 13,000 and 12,000 visitors came to the fountains, respectively.
Under normal conditions, about 10,000 visitors use the 14 fountains in the city daily. Each fountain is equipped with an alternative power source in case of power outages.
The fountains operate in various city districts at the following addresses:
25 Dalnytska St.;
