Autumn Cleanup in Odesa Streets

Rain, wind, and fallen leaves increase the workload for municipal workers. The public service employees are working intensively on the city streets.

In Odesa, 8 teams from the municipal enterprise «City Roads» are on duty. They ensure the free flow of rainwater from the streets by clearing the stormwater drains of fallen leaves and debris washed in by the rain.

Today, 46 units of special equipment and 328 workers are involved in these operations.

The cleaning of the stormwater drainage system is conducted regularly, both manually and with the help of heavy machinery from «City Roads» including excavators, graders, and high-pressure hydraulic units for flushing the pipes.

Employees from «Housing and Communal Services» also clear the stormwater drain grates near buildings, sweep, and remove fallen leaves and trash.

About 180 workers from the municipal enterprise «City Green Trust» maintain order in the city's green spaces daily. Due to inclement weather, 3 trees have already been knocked down and many small branches broken.

Greenery workers are engaged in cutting up and removing fallen trees and branches, as well as sweeping and collecting fallen leaves from park areas.
