Assessment of Water Quality in Odesa's Drinking Fountains

The quality of artesian water in Odesa's drinking fountains is analyzed by the «Odesa Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine».
According to an agreement between the municipal enterprise «Service Center» and the «Odesa Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention», water testing for consumers is conducted once a month.
Based on microbiological research results, as of October 2025, the purified drinking water from the fountain complexes meets the sanitary requirements of DSanPiN 2.2.4-171-10.
These protocols are available at all drinking fountain complexes, and anyone can review them.

Additional Information
Odesa has 17 drinking fountain complexes with well depths ranging from 111 to 149 meters. All fountains are maintained by the municipal enterprise «Service Center». According to estimates from the Service Center, an average of 45,000 residents use the drinking fountains daily. The average water consumption per fountain is 8 – 12 cubic meters. Water from the wells is accessible to everyone.
