New Digital Ecosystem for Job Seekers in Ukraine
A new digital ecosystem named "Horizon" is set to launch in Ukraine, aimed at helping unemployed individuals find jobs and receive necessary support. This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
According to her, the government has already approved the platform's launch. Svyrydenko explained that the system will operate through the “Diia” app.
Ukrainians will be able to:
- register their unemployment status;
- apply for financial assistance;
- officially resign from jobs in temporarily occupied territories;
- receive a grant of up to 15,000 UAH for retraining.
The system will utilize artificial intelligence to identify individuals who have lost their jobs and match them with job vacancies based on skills, experience, and location.
Real-time data will assist the government and businesses in forecasting the demand for specialists. The State Employment Service will administer the new system, and all key state institutions will be involved.
Svyrydenko also clarified that if a person does not find a job within 60 days of dismissal, career advisors from the employment service will offer them vacancies, training, retraining, or a grant even before officially obtaining unemployment status.
