Illegal Fishing Detected in Odesa Region

During a fishing inspection raid, inspectors collaborated with border guards and police, uncovering a significant violation of fishing laws.
This was reported by the Odesa Fishing Protection Patrol.
In the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi channel, a man was caught illegally catching fish using prohibited means – nets. As a result, the offender caught 9 white amurs and 34 carps, totaling over 100 kg.
The damage to Ukraine's fish stocks amounted to 158,746 hryvnias. A National Police investigative team was dispatched to the scene. An administrative protocol was drawn up against the violator, and materials are being prepared to initiate a criminal case. Police confiscated the illegally caught fish, nets, and a wooden boat.
