Preserving Kuyalnik Estuary: An Initiative for Ecological Awareness

The Kuyalnik National Nature Park has launched an initiative to bring attention to the ecological issues facing the Kuyalnik Estuary.

According to the State Ecological Inspection of the Southwestern District, on September 12, participants discussed a number of critical ecological issues, including increased water mineralization, the necessity for salt removal from the estuary, and the threat of losing unique natural complexes.

Representatives of the inspection, including the deputy head and the head of the water resources department, provided interviews to the «We-Ukraine» TV channel, discussing the recorded violations of environmental legislation in the estuary basin and the measures being taken for its protection.

The ecological inspection urged local residents to be mindful and responsible: to refrain from polluting the protected water area and to report any violations to the administration of the Kuyalnik National Nature Park or the ecological inspection.
