Creating an Accessible Space in Odesa

Odesa is actively working on initiatives aimed at establishing an accessible environment and enhancing inclusivity throughout the city.
The city plans to equip the «Otrada» beach to support rehabilitation and recreational activities for veterans, children with disabilities, and other mobility-impaired groups.
Additionally, the beach will provide facilities for the development of adaptive rowing sports.
On August 27, during an extraordinary session of the Odesa City Council, deputies voted in favor of amendments to the «Barrier-Free Odesa» program, increasing its funding by 1 million hryvnias.
The total budget for the program in 2025 will amount to 189.5 million UAH.
