Innovative AI Drone for Ukrainian Forces

11 August 2025

The Brave1 team and the Third Assault Brigade have unveiled a groundbreaking drone equipped with artificial intelligence, capable of striking enemies from over 50 km away. This was announced by Ukraine's First Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.

"Many of Ukraine’s defense innovations emerge directly from the battlefield, driven by military engineers and developers. This is the case with "Dolphin Spider," whose story began in the R&D laboratories of the Third Assault Brigade," he stated.

The drone is named after a fallen comrade of the developers, known by the gaming nickname "Dolphin." Engineers collaborated with Omnitech to create the drone, while Brave1 helped to codify it for military application.

"It surpasses foreign counterparts in key metrics and can autonomously navigate the terrain using artificial intelligence algorithms," Fedorov noted.

The primary function of the drone is to provide reliable communication for strike UAVs deep behind enemy lines. Thanks to it, Ukrainian drones can appear where the enemy least expects them. The "Trio" is already destroying enemy SAMs, logistics, and other priority targets with the help of the "Dolphin Spider."

Additionally, President Volodymyr Zelensky recently signed a law to increase defense and security spending by 412 billion UAH, with 216 billion UAH allocated for the purchase and production of weapons, military equipment, and drones.
