Fire Incident in Odesa Region: Swift Containment Efforts
Yesterday, in the Odesa region, near the village of Avanhard, a fire broke out affecting dry vegetation.
This was reported by the State Emergency Service (SES).
Due to strong wind gusts, there was a risk of the fire spreading. Drones were deployed for aerial reconnaissance and monitoring of the fire. Firefighters operated under heightened alert.
The fire was extinguished after a few hours, covering an area of approximately 25 hectares.
Fortunately, there were no injuries or fatalities reported.
The cause of the fire is currently being investigated.
Four units of equipment and 15 firefighters from the SES were involved, along with 3 units and 7 personnel from the Avanhard village council's civil safety center, and 1 unit and 4 members from the Ukrainian Volunteer Firefighters Association.
