Air Raid Alert in Romania Due to Attacks on Odesa
In the Romanian town of Tulcea, located along the Danube, an air raid alert was issued following a Russian attack targeting the southern Odesa region of Ukraine. This incident was also visible from the territory of neighboring Moldova.
According to Digi24, on the night of August 5-6, an alert lasted for about an hour and a half due to Russian drone strikes on southern Odesa.
Explosions and the operation of air defense systems were clearly visible from Romanian territory.
A fire that broke out during the attack caused concern among locals, with around 20 people contacting emergency services, fearing that the fire was close to them.
"Response teams remained in the area to monitor the situation and intervene if necessary. We again urge calm and remind that the targets of the Russian attacks are not within Romanian territory. We ask citizens to heed safety measures recommended by authorities," – stated the fire service.
The attacks were also observed from Moldova, with reports from readers to the publication Nokta.
