Revamping the

The revamping of the international border crossing «Reni – Giurgiulești» marks a significant step in the development of transport infrastructure.

The public procurement procedure for the project «Capital repair of the public road of national significance M-15 Odesa – Reni (to Bucharest). Establishment of a parking and rest area for vehicles at km 307+070 (left), Odesa region» has been successfully completed.

As a result of the tender in the Prozorro system, the contractor has been selected – LLC «ROSTDORSTROY», with whom a contract was signed on 23.07.2025 for the execution of works No. 3K/25. The cost of the works amounts to UAH 179,460,000 without VAT. The deadline for completion is set for 31.12.2025.

The implementation of this project will create a modern and safe area for temporary vehicle parking, waiting for processing, and resting for road users near the border crossing «Reni – Giurgiulești». This will reduce the load on the border crossing, improve logistics, provide convenience for citizens and drivers, and enhance the overall quality of border infrastructure. The area is designed for:

• 46 spaces for freight transport;
• 13 spaces for passenger vehicles, including 2 spaces for persons with disabilities.

This project is part of the European initiative «Solidarity Routes», which facilitates the integration of Ukraine's transport routes into the European network, providing new opportunities for export and bilateral trade with the European Union. Funding for the project is provided through a grant under the EU program «Connecting Europe Facility» (#CEF), which covers 50% of the expenses. The remaining 50% is funded from the state budget.
