Changes in Ticket Verification for Ukrzaliznytsia Trains
Starting from August 1, Ukrzaliznytsia has made ticket verification mandatory for three internal train routes instead of five, as previously announced.
This information comes from the press service of the company.
In response to numerous passenger complaints, Ukrzaliznytsia decided to heed their concerns.
Verification will be required when purchasing tickets for the following routes:
- №29/30 Kyiv — Uzhhorod,
- №12 Lviv — Odesa,
- №27/28 Kyiv — Chop.
Thus, trains №105/106 Odesa – Kyiv and №91/92 Lviv – Kyiv have been removed from the original list.
Representatives of Ukrzaliznytsia also clarified that passengers will need to verify their accounts in the "Ukrzaliznytsia" app to purchase or return tickets for these routes.
To ensure access to tickets for passengers without the new passports or the ability to update them, ticket sales for these trains will also be available at several ticket offices:
- Chop (ticket office №2);
- Uzhhorod (ticket office №2);
- Lviv (ticket office №1);
- Odesa (ticket offices №14 and №2);
- Kyiv (ticket offices №21 and 22).
"We are closely monitoring the outcomes of this pilot launch to determine whether we will expand this practice to additional routes," the company stated.
