Open Training Sessions in Wushu at Odessa Beach
22 July 2025
This weekend, in Odessa, at inclusive beach number 11, the sports season opened with wushu training. The event took place outdoors, barefoot in the sand, embracing the summer vibe.
Veterans participated with great enthusiasm, trying out new techniques. Various styles of wushu were showcased throughout the event — both contact and non-contact, dynamic and therapeutic. Everyone had the chance to test their skills, feel the rhythm of movement, and discover inner balance.
This event highlighted how an inclusive space can become a vibrant hub for people with diverse experiences.
The master class was conducted by:
Contact Wushu (self-defense):
- Vladimir Shevchenko — European champion in wushu, multiple Ukrainian champion;
- Alexander Berezhny — honored coach, expert in sanda wushu;
- Sergey Muntyanu — veteran, sanda wushu trainer.
Non-contact Wushu (health style):
- Valeria Blagodyr — sports master, wellness program coach.
