Meeting Focused on Enhancing Ukraine's Defense Capability

The Defense Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, held an important meeting with the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Rustem Umerov, along with his deputies responsible for international cooperation and supply. The discussion centered on weapon production, particularly interceptor drones.

Shmyhal shared this update on his Facebook page.

«The main goal of the meeting is to implement the President's tasks following the Technological Headquarters on June 27. We covered all key points. Most importantly, we need to ensure that our soldiers are equipped with the necessary technology and weapons,» Shmyhal emphasized.

He also highlighted the importance of protecting Ukrainian cities.

«We plan to scale up production in Ukraine and procure interceptor drones from our partners that have already proven effective. We expect to see significant results in the near future,» he added.

During the discussions regarding procurement, contracting, and financing of production, Shmyhal assigned specific tasks to his deputies.

«We are intensifying our efforts in every direction to strengthen our defense potential,» he concluded.
