Enhanced Inspections for Freight Carriers in Southern Ukraine
In response to the increasing risks of road accidents and the agricultural harvest season, Ukrtransbezpeka has initiated enhanced inspections for freight carriers in southern Ukraine.
Additional inspectors have been sent from other regions to strengthen control in the Odessa and Mykolaiv regions.
Ukrtransbezpeka's head, Nikita Lagunin, emphasized that the ongoing war has reshaped the country's logistics routes. "Our mission is to protect the roads and significantly cut repair costs. I urge carriers to adhere to weight regulations to avoid hefty fines," he stated.
The inspections will take place around the clock on key road segments, focusing on compliance with weight norms and the working hours of drivers.
These control measures are coordinated with the Odessa and Mykolaiv regional state administrations and supported by Ukrzaliznytsia.
