Beware: New Online Fraud Schemes

Recently, social media and messaging apps have seen messages that supposedly come from banks offering a «cash reward» for completing a short survey.

This information has been confirmed by the State Special Communications Service.

Such messages often contain links to phishing websites designed to imitate the bank's official page. When a victim clicks the link, they are asked to fill out a survey, after which they need to provide their phone number, SMS code, and PIN.
The information gathered is used by fraudsters to link the account to a new device or to authorize online access to the bank's app, allowing them to withdraw funds from the victim's account.

How to avoid falling victim to fraud?

•  Always check the website address before entering your payment card details or passwords – phishing sites can closely resemble legitimate ones.
•  Trust only official sources! Verify survey and payment information on official institution websites.
•  Do not click on links from messages; find the official site through a search engine yourself.
