Commemorative Coin Dedicated to the Vampire Drone

08 July 2025

The National Bank of Ukraine has launched a new commemorative coin dedicated to the Vampire bomber drone, marking its third anniversary.

Vampire bombers have completed over 1 million combat flights. They can carry up to 15 kg of payload, and enemies fear them, referring to them as «Baba Yaga».

These drones can ascend to an altitude of 500 meters and have a recommended flight range of up to 15 km.

This Ukrainian hexacopter has proven to be an effective tool for target engagement, remote mining, and humanitarian assistance.

The press service of the National Bank reported that the coin's design was created by Ukrainian artists Volodymyr Taran, Oleksandr Kharuk, and Serhii Kharuk.

The commemorative coin, with a face value of 5 hryvnias, is part of the «Armed Forces of Ukraine» series titled «Ukrainian Cotton. UAV Vampire».

The coin has a circulation of 75,000 pieces.

The obverse features a war-torn landscape, defensive trenches, a burning enemy tank, and above the field, the silhouette of the Vampire drone in flight.

On the reverse, the Vampire hexacopter is dropping ammunition. In the background, a cloud with lightning symbolizes the speed, accuracy, and power of the drone.
