Transport Restrictions in the Odessa Region
In the Odessa region, restrictions have been placed on trucks with a weight exceeding 24 tons and an axle load over 7 tons.
This measure has been implemented due to the rising air temperatures.
The press service of the Odessa patrol police reports that «to protect the road surface, trucks are prohibited from moving when the temperature exceeds +28 degrees Celsius. This ban applies to vehicles with a weight over 24 tons and an axle load exceeding 7 tons».
Drivers are advised to wait out the heat in designated parking areas and near roadside service facilities. The restrictions do not apply to vehicles that are: engaged in emergency response; transporting perishable goods; for sanitary purposes; live animals; hazardous materials; military cargo, and items used for defense needs.
