Summer Train Services to Odesa: New Travel Opportunities
The Ukrainian Railways has announced the launch of additional summer train services to Odesa to ensure convenient access to this popular resort city in Ukraine. The extra trains will operate throughout June and July.
This initiative aims to enhance transport connections for tourists and business travelers heading to the pearl of the Black Sea. According to the company, this will meet the growing demand from travelers.
Train Schedule to Odesa
Kyiv — Odesa: Train No. 265/266 will run on June 27, 28, 29, and 30. This route is traditionally one of the most sought-after by Ukrainians, especially during the summer season.
Lviv — Odesa: Train No. 168/167 will depart from Lviv to Odesa on June 27, 29, and additionally on July 4, 6, 11, 13, 18, and 20. This route connects the western tourist hub with the country's primary seaside resort.
The designated trains will feature compartment carriages with seating areas, some of which will be equipped with air conditioning.
"These are comfortable, spacious compartment carriages with air conditioning, but they are not available in sleeping format," the company explained.
When selecting seats, passengers should note that odd-numbered seats are by the window, while even-numbered seats are closer to the compartment doors. Tickets for the additional trains to Odesa will be available soon for purchase online via the official Ukrainian Railways website, mobile app, or at train station ticket offices.
In addition to Odesa routes, Ukrainian Railways has also scheduled extra trains between Kyiv and Lviv (Train No. 291/292) and Kyiv and Truskavets (Train No. 159/160) for the summer period. The introduction of these additional services is in response to the increasing demand for summer travel to Odesa as Ukrainians actively head to the seaside.
