Renovation of Berths in Reni Port: New Opportunities

The renovation of four berths, specifically No. 15, No. 23, No. 26, and No. 27, has commenced at Reni port in the Odesa region.

The Reni branch of the State Enterprise «Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority» selected a contractor through open tenders on the Prozorro system. The total contract value is set at 12.1 million UAH.

The need for these renovation works stems from the significant wear and tear of the berthing infrastructure. Most structures have been in use since the 1960s to 1980s. Technical inspections conducted in 2024 by specialists from «ChornomorNDIproekt» in collaboration with the Ukrainian Shipping Register revealed serious damages — cracks, deformations, corrosion, and other defects that pose risks to the safety of mooring operations.

The project involves repairing and reinforcing the structures, replacing damaged metal elements, updating mooring dolphins and ramps, installing new fendering devices, and applying markings according to current standards.

The work is being carried out without halting port activities and is expected to be completed by the end of 2025.
