Alert: New Fraudulent Email Scheme Impersonating NBU

The National Bank of Ukraine has uncovered a new fraudulent scheme involving the distribution of emails with harmful attachments that attempt to impersonate official NBU communications.
This was reported by the NBU press service.
Criminals send emails from various addresses while using a fake e-mail signature: nbu@gov.nbu.ua, which resembles the official domain of the National Bank of Ukraine.
The NBU urges the public to refrain from downloading attachments from such emails and not to click on any links provided.
Furthermore, NBU representatives emphasized that staff members exclusively use their official corporate email, which includes the domain @bank.gov.ua for electronic correspondence.
