Renovation of the Inclusive Beach at the Great Fountain
Renovation efforts are underway at the Great Fountain's inclusive beach, designed for individuals with disabilities.
The project is managed by the Department of Engineering Protection of the City and Coastal Development of the Odessa City Council.
As of now, a metal frame and terrace decking have been installed, along with safety fencing elements, and a metal ramp has been assembled for access to the sea, with ongoing installation work.
Additionally, a reinforced concrete ramp and decking materials have been manufactured and delivered, with fencing elements set to be installed on the retaining wall.
Moreover, the renovation of the sewage pumps and the external sewage system has been completed, along with repairs to the changing rooms and showers, and the construction of concrete stairs for beach access.
Work is also ongoing on restroom facilities for individuals with reduced mobility, the medical point, and the storage/guard room.
Preparations for a concrete area for exercise equipment installation are also in progress.
For the safety of beach visitors, a concrete shelter has been constructed and installed.
The completion of the inclusive beach renovation is scheduled for the end of June 2025.
