Visit of the Deputy Minister for Veterans Affairs to Odesa
Today, June 3rd, Ruslan Prykhodko, the Deputy Minister for Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, arrived in Odesa for a working visit.
The purpose of the visit was to review the city’s inclusive locations and prepare for the health improvement season.
During the visit, the representatives of the Ministry were shown the efforts of the Accessibility Council in Odesa. Notably, the focus was on the creation of the inclusive route «North-South» as part of the National Project «Movement Without Barriers», which is being implemented in 15 cities across Ukraine under the patronage of the First Lady Olena Zelenska.
The Deputy Minister praised the initiatives aimed at creating an accessible environment in Odesa, particularly in collaboration with veterans and individuals with disabilities. Among these initiatives is a new inclusive sports ground at «Dolphin», equipped with exercise machines adapted for people with disabilities.
Ruslan Prykhodko also met with Odesa's adaptive athletes who participate in numerous international competitions.
Additionally, the Deputy Minister expressed his desire to meet with Odesa veterans during the upcoming meetings of the Accessibility Council.
