Roma Culture Festival in Odessa

The Roma culture festival in Odessa was a vibrant celebration of colors, music, and dance. Everyone who visited the City Garden had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of Roma heritage, presented as part of the «Multicultural Weeks in Odessa» initiative. Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov expressed gratitude to the Roma communities of Odesa for their active participation and for creating an engaging cultural program. He emphasized that on May 21, Ukraine officially celebrated the Day of Interethnic Harmony and Cultural Diversity for the first time.

«This is not just a date on the calendar for Odessa — it is our way of life. We are continually working to create a space for mutual respect, and such events contribute to forming a harmonious society. Odessa is a home for everyone», — highlighted Gennadiy Trukhanov.

In addition to cultural performances, festival guests had the chance to explore traditional Roma crafts, taste their cuisine, and enjoy a variety of activities.
