New Blood Donation Drive in Odesa

Recently, the «Donor Odesa» initiative organized a mobile blood donation event at City Clinical Hospital No. 1, supported by a team from the Odesa Regional Blood Transfusion Station.

Approximately 30 staff members and visitors participated in this event as blood donors. The hospital's team has actively participated in blood donation both on-site and through the city-wide campaign «Donate Blood — Save Lives».

The need for donor blood remains critical, especially since the start of the war. Blood is essential for treating injured defenders of Ukraine and other patients.

Any organization can arrange a mobile blood donation event at their location. Here’s how:

1. Gather a group of 25-50 willing donors and ensure they have no medical contraindications for donating.

3. Follow the guidelines regarding food and medication before donation.
