Visit of International Organizations to Odessa
A delegation from the United Nations, including representatives from the UN Development Programme (UNDP), the UN Office for Project Services (UNOPS), and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), is currently visiting Odessa.
The visit, organized by UNDP in Ukraine, includes five ambassadors and other distinguished guests, focusing on collaboration with UNOPS and UNFPA.
During the working visit, the delegation toured facilities being developed with the support of the UN.
The Mayor expressed gratitude for the assistance provided to Odessa, particularly for the involvement in the reconstruction of one of the departments of Hospital No. 8.
Gennadiy Trukhanov noted that while the facility is a standard hospital and does not provide emergency care, it has already saved numerous lives, especially those injured in hostile attacks requiring urgent medical assistance. This was made possible by the highly qualified staff working in excellent conditions with new equipment.
Participants also discussed future cooperation, including attracting international investments for infrastructure projects (reconstruction of sewerage and drainage systems, construction of housing for internally displaced persons, etc.).
