Border Guards Join Blood Donation Efforts in Odesa

Once again, military personnel from the Odesa border unit have joined the city project «Donor Odesa».

About twenty border guards participated in the collective donation, most of whom are regular blood donors. The military understands the critical importance of having a blood reserve in the context of a full-scale war, which can save the lives of comrades, civilians, and anyone in need of urgent assistance.

«For us, protecting Ukraine means not only engaging in combat but also being ready to extend a helping hand to those fighting for their lives in hospitals,» say the border guards.

Every blood donation can save up to three lives. Donating blood not only provides a chance for someone else to survive but is also beneficial for the donor's health when there are no contraindications.

The «Donor Odesa» project has been actively engaging blood donors for the needs of medical facilities since the beginning of the full-scale war, providing over 14,000 blood donations.

It is crucial that every Ukrainian who is healthy enough to donate blood participates in this initiative.
