Clarity: An Innovative AI Program for Enemy Detection

09 September 2025

Ukrainian developers have launched the Clarity program, which utilizes artificial intelligence to automatically identify military equipment and enemy forces. This was announced by Mykhailo Fedorov, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation.

Previously, analysts spent hours manually reviewing drone intelligence data. Now, Ukrainian developers have introduced Clarity, an innovative tool for processing photo and video data, significantly easing their workload.

According to the official, the program can autonomously detect equipment and signs of enemy presence in images, reducing analysis time by up to 90% and functioning on regular laptops.

Mykhailo Fedorov noted that the development team won the pre-seed startup competition at the Happy New Fear Hackathon by Brave1 and received a grant to enhance the Clarity Pro program.

Key features of Clarity Pro:

  • Decodes photos and videos in seconds;
  • Links images to geographic coordinates;
  • Automatically generates and decodes orthophotos.

According to the First Deputy Prime Minister, Clarity is already being used by over 250 pilots, analysts, and scouts from units such as “Achilles”, “Nemesis”, “Rubizh”, 40th Brigade of Special Purpose Forces, among others. The program is continuously improved based on their feedback.

Recently, Brave1 announced the launch of competitions aimed at developing explosive production, autonomous drones, and tactical ballistic missiles. The budget for these projects may reach 100-150 million UAH.

Earlier, Mykhailo Fedorov also stated that a new air-to-air defense system is being created to protect Ukrainian airspace.
