5G Testing Initiatives in Ukraine

The government of Ukraine is set to start a new phase of 5G testing in Lviv, Kharkiv, and Borodyanka, following a recent policy change.
This was announced by Mykhailo Fedorov, the Deputy Prime Minister for Digital Transformation.
“Kharkiv and Borodyanka have suffered severe damage from shelling, making it crucial to test the technology under challenging conditions. Ukraine is capable of adopting innovations even in times of limited resources,” Fedorov stated.
One of the key goals of the testing is to assess the potential of 5G in the reconstruction of cities.
The testing is expected to commence in the autumn of 2025.
