Google Launches Flow: A New Content Generation Tool
Google has launched Flow, a groundbreaking tool that combines all of the company's generative models, including Imagen for image creation, Veo for video production, and text-based Gemini for crafting cinematic clips, scenes, and narratives.
Users can articulate their video ideas with Gemini, create necessary assets using Imagen, and then realize their concepts through the generative model Veo.
According to Engadget, Flow will also feature additional video editing and production capabilities. Users will have the option to select camera movements and angles, as well as edit and incorporate new clips and entire scenes. Furthermore, Flow will include a built-in asset management system to organize resources and even user prompts.
The new tool from Google will be available in the US through a subscription to Google AI Pro or the newly introduced AI Ultra. In the AI Pro subscription, users will gain access to the enhanced Veo 2 model, which includes improvements such as camera movement control, a "Redraw" feature for expanding frames from portrait to landscape format, and better understanding of shadows, scale, and object interactions in video.
Meanwhile, the Google AI Ultra subscription will provide access to the new Veo 3 model, which is the most advanced video generation model from Google. It offers improved quality compared to Veo 2 and can also generate videos with sound for the first time, including background noises like traffic, birdsong, or even character dialogues.
Additionally, at Google I/O, a Gemini chatbot for Chrome was introduced, the launch of the "AI Insights" extension in search across Ukraine and other regions, the Imagen 4 model for image generation, and the UI creation tool Stitch. Google also announced that it is collaborating with Xreal on smart glasses called Project Aura based on Android XR.
