Exhibition of Inna Rusina's Art in Odessa

23 April 2025

On April 26, the Odessa Museum of Personal Collections named after O.V. Bleschunov will hold the opening of an exhibition titled «Revival and Inspiration» featuring artist-restorer Inna Rusina. The exhibition will highlight her remarkable talent in blending restoration techniques with original artistry.

This was announced by the museum.

Inna Arkadievna Rusina has been a pivotal figure in establishing the Odessa branch of the National Scientific Restoration Center of Ukraine and has been working there since 1987. For her significant contributions, she was awarded the Order of Princess Olga in 2008.

The artist has participated in exhibitions since 1979 and has been a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1990. Her works are housed in renowned museums, including the Odessa National Art Museum, and in private collections around the world.

The exhibition will be presented in two halls:

Hall «Revival»

The display includes six restored works from the museum's collection, demonstrating the evolution of art pieces from their initial state to the completion of the restoration process. Each exhibit will be accompanied by informational stands.

In the current conditions of war, the role of restoration centers is crucial, as they engage not only in routine projects but also in preserving cultural heritage.

Exhibits must be carefully packed and maintained in proper microclimates, — emphasizes Rusina.

Unlike previous decades, today's restoration field employs highly qualified specialists.

Hall «Inspiration»

In this section of the exhibition, visitors will be able to appreciate Inna Rusina's paintings in the genres of still life, portrait, and landscape.

The artist admits that her work has been particularly influenced by Sandro Botticelli, whose masterpieces she viewed twice at the Uffizi Gallery in Florence.

Seeing the paintings in person is an experience that words cannot describe, — shares Inna Rusina.
