Poetry Celebration in Odessa

On March 9, a celebration called «Poetry Celebration» took place in Shevchenko Park in Odessa, organized by the community organization «Defense of the State». This event was dedicated to the birthday of the renowned poet Taras Shevchenko. Participants had the opportunity to recite his poems and receive delicious sweets in return.

The «Poetry Celebration» was held on March 9 in Shevchenko Park in Odessa. The community organization «Defense of the State» invited locals and visitors to recall and recite poems by Taras Shevchenko. Both adults and children participated in the event.

Everyone who recited lines from the Kobzar received a box of candies as a gift. The organizers noted that the event sparked significant interest among residents of Odessa of all ages. Several dozens of people took part in the event.

Olexiy Zemlyany, the head of the Odessa branch of the «Defense of the State» organization, congratulated the participants on Taras Shevchenko's birthday. He expressed hope that the poet's words would become a symbol of renewal and unity for Ukraine. The event concluded with well-known lines from Shevchenko's works about the country's future.
