Young Musicians Honored at Piano Music Competition

On February 28, 2025, the Golden Hall of the Odessa Literary Museum hosted an awards ceremony and concert for the winners of the III International Piano Music Competition «The World of J.S. Bach». Young musicians from Odessa, Kyiv, Dnipro, Myrhorod, Ivano-Frankivsk, and China participated in the competition.

The aim of the competition is to support gifted students from specialized artistic institutions, promote the national tradition of piano playing, popularize polyphonic works by Ukrainian composers, and enhance the polyphonic skills of young pianists.

«This unique competition has been held for the third consecutive year, uniting us through the music of the genius German composer Johann Bach. Such events strengthen ties between cultural institutions in Odessa and Europe,» said Ivan Liptuga, director of the Department of International Cooperation, Culture, and Marketing of the Odessa City Council.

The laureates showcased their skills in performing pieces by J.S. Bach. The winners received diplomas and awards.

The competition was established by the Department of International Cooperation, Culture, and Marketing of the Odessa City Council.  
The organizer of the competition is the Odessa Art School No. 3.
