Children's Contest: Gnomes and Their Tales
Odesa and Wroclaw are renowned literary cities recognized by UNESCO. Wroclaw is famous for its gnomes, with over a thousand representing various professions. These charming figures can be found in cafes, workshops, libraries, and more.
On October 25, 2024, a children's contest titled «Heroes of the Gnome Worlds in UNESCO Literary Cities» will begin in Odesa.
Participants are invited to draw their favorite gnomes and write stories about them, including the gnome folk from Polish mythology.
Artwork in A3, A4 format and stories up to 5000 characters should be submitted from October 25 to November 25, 2024, to the email: igо189188@gmail.com.
All entries will be displayed on the contest's webpage.
The jury from Odesa and Wroclaw will select the best works and award the winners. Selected entries will be featured in an exhibition, and the stories will be published in a gnome book to be presented in both cities.
This contest aims to strengthen cultural ties between Odesa and Wroclaw.
