Contest for Promoting the Ukrainian Language in Odesa
To enhance the popularity of the Ukrainian language among the residents of Odesa, a contest for social advertising titled «Promoting the Ukrainian Language» will be held from October 29 to November 29, 2024.
The main objectives of the contest are to increase interest in the Ukrainian language, foster respect for it, showcase its beauty, develop national consciousness among the youth, and support creative initiatives of young people in the Odesa community.
The contest will take place in two phases:
Phase I - submission of applications;
Phase II - evaluation of entries by the jury and announcement of winners.
To participate, send an application to the email address of the Department of Internal Policy of the Odesa City Council: dep_vp@omr.gov.ua (with the note «Social Advertising Contest»).
Requirements for the entries:
1. Technical specifications:
- informational posters may be created graphically or hand-drawn.
2. Entries must be new and unpublished.
3. Participants must adhere to the following conditions:
- content must not violate Ukrainian laws;
- text should be clear, concise, and original;
- presence of emotional coloring (using color, fonts, drawings, and graphic elements);
- no false information;
- works must relate to the theme of the contest;
4. Entries must not contain:
- names, addresses, phone numbers, commercial information, religious symbols, political slogans;
- depictions of violence, discrimination, intimate scenes;
- information that degrades the dignity of individuals or groups;
- promotion of bad habits;
- infringement of intellectual property rights;
5. Works must be in Ukrainian.
6. Creative works must not contain offensive information or violate moral principles.
7. Rights to privacy and publicity must be respected.
8. Participants, by submitting their works, consent to the processing of personal data in accordance with Ukrainian legislation.
9. Participants confirm that they are the authors of their works and bear responsibility for copyright.
10. Works that:
- do not meet the requirements;
- contain plagiarism;
- are submitted after the deadline are not allowed to participate.
