Cultural Collaboration Between Odesa and Regensburg Libraries
On November 9, Ukraine celebrated the Day of Cultural Workers and Masters of Folk Art.
In connection with this occasion, an exciting development has been the agreement on cooperation between the libraries of Odesa and the library system of Regensburg.
“The library project aims to establish foreign literature halls in Odesa’s libraries, shaped by our sister cities. The Regensburg Library will be the first pilot project,” noted Ivan Liptuga, the Director of the Department of Culture, International Cooperation, and European Integration.
Next year, one of the libraries in Odesa will feature a German literature hall dedicated to the history of Regensburg.
The sister city of Regensburg will assist in the development and organization of the hall, collaborative events, and the publication of interesting works by German authors.
A similar corner of Odesa will also be established in the libraries of the sister city.
