Cultural Exchange: Odesa in Venice

As part of the Odesa Days in Venice, a significant concert took place at the renowned Teatro La Fenice — one of the most prestigious opera houses in the world. This event marked an important step in cultural exchange between Ukraine and Italy, emphasizing the strong connections between Odesa and Venice.

Performing on stage were talented musicians from Odesa: world-renowned violinist Georgiy Sokolov, pianist Anastasia Melnyk, and singer Anastasia Bukhina. They presented a rich program that blended classical pieces with modern interpretations. The authentic Odesa songs stood out, adding a unique flavor to the performance. This event kicked off a series of activities that will continue in Venice over the coming days.

Odesa's mayor, Gennadiy Trukhanov, expressed gratitude to Venice's mayor, Luigi Brugnaro, for his support and assistance in organizing the event. Additionally, Ukrainian veterans are set to participate in the prestigious Venetian regatta — a first in history.
