Ambassador of Vietnam Honored in Odessa

Gennady Trukhanov awarded the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Vietnam in Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova, Mr. Nguyen Hong Thach, with the Odessa City Mayor's recognition "Gratitude" for his significant contributions.

During the ongoing war, the Vietnamese diaspora continues to support social institutions in Odessa, including the Odessa Zoo.

At the initiative of the Ambassador and with the support of the Vietnamese community, a new aviary for green peacocks has been built at the zoo.

"Many Vietnamese have found a home and prosperity in Odessa. When the city creates favorable conditions for its residents, it is only logical that those residents take responsibility for the city's development," the Ambassador noted.

During the event, the Vietnamese diaspora showcased their national traditions and culture.

The Mayor of Odessa thanked all participants and the Vietnamese people, emphasizing the importance of caring for our smaller brothers, especially during wartime.

The city mayor also stressed that the restoration of the Odessa Zoo, which began prior to the invasion, will certainly continue after our victory.
